DVR Expander???

I'm borrowing a Tivo DVR Expander from a friend(while he's out of town for a few months), But I read this:

Q: How do I know whether a recorded program is on the DVR or the DVR Expander?
A: On the TiVo® DVR, each recorded program is stored partly on the internal drive and partly on the DVR Expander.

Does that mean for the current programs I have on my HD Tivo, Or just the ones I recorded from the time I plugged in the DVR Expander.

It should be just the ones recorded after you connected the expander. When you disconnect, you'll lose ALL recordings made since you connected the drive, but everything that was there before that (assuming any are left) should remain.

What windracer said...plus...does your friend understand that once he divorces the eSATA drive from his TiVo that he will lose all of the recordings made with his TiVo since it was first connected?

If he did I think he would have said no.:D
