Humax DRT800(Or any Tivo DVD) - Can it play commercial DVDs?

I know that my DRT800 does.

Well it did the last time that I wanted it to, but that was over 2 years back.

ETA: And it still does, just inserted 'The Polar Express' to be sure.

Sure does, I won't upgrade to a S3 just because I don't want to give up my TiVo with an integrated DVD player. Having trick play for regular DVDs is awesome.
