Did a search on this, but was unable to find anything. Hoping someone has had a similar experience to this with a resolution.

I don't believe that I had seen this issue before, and I have not received the Fall Update yet, but I noticed two horizontal scan lines running from the bottom and middle of the screen towards the top of the screen today on my Tivo HD.

I did a little troubleshooting by:
-Rebooting the Tivo
-Trying a different Component input on my display and it had the same issue
-Trying a different Component input with different Component cables

All three of these scenarios still had the scan lines. When I tried connecting via HDMI, I did not have the scan lines. I can ultimately get an HDMI switch to solve my issue, but I would like to keep my current input configuration with all my components.

Would it just be faulty Component output on the Tivo? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

While there may be an issue with your TiVo's component output, the problem you're having could also be caused by a ground loop (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ground_loop_(electricity)).

While viewing a recording (not Live TV), disconnect the cable feed and see if the problem goes away. If it does, that means that the ground for your cable isn't the same as your house's ground, and you need to either contact your cable company about getting it fixed (if they can) or you can get a ground loop isolator (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=ground+loop+isolator&btnG=Search) for your cable feed that will break the direct ground connection.

Much thanks, Krellion! I never would've thought to go the route of disconnecting the coaxial, but gave your suggestion a try and was able to get the ground wire issue resolved. Saved me a lot of time. Cheers!
