I have a TivoHD that until recently has worked 100% perfectly. I have Time Warner Cable in San Diego, CA with a multi stream cable card. I have both the HDMI and Component cables hooked up to my 50" Panasonic plasma (component for testing reasons). I also have my TWC HD DVR hooked up on the same TV via component (for testing purposes).

The problem that I am seeing is that on the lower channels that are standard channels (i.e. 40, 41, 42... ) I see a tiny tiny flickering red line at the bottom. It's probably just like 1 entire line of pixels across the bottom. I see it on previously recorded stuff and live TV. I see it both using HDMI and component. I do not see it when I go to the higher channels (i.e. 200's and 700's (HD)). I do not see it at all on the TWC box (on ANY channels). So it seems specific to the TivoHD and/or the cable card (but I don't really know if thats the issue).

Has anyone seen this?
Any ideas?
Maybe there is just something wrong with my TivoHD? Maybe it is the cable card, maybe not.

Any thoughts?

Nobody has ever seen this? Strange.

This may sound like a naive response, but is it just an overscan issue (technically a lack thereof)? Have you tried changing the 'picture size' settings on your Panny?

On my Panasonic plasma, if I set the panel to picture size 2 (no overscan) I occasionally get a green line on the far left edge of the screen, usually on NBC HD. If I set to picture size 1, it increases the overscan slightly and the line goes away. I then often change it back to picture size 2 because that looks MUCH better when I use Boxee on my AppleTV.

You might want to also check the picture centering on the Panasonic.

I saw something similar on my Samsung. I put up a test image, the television test image that you used to see late at night on broadcast stations, and the image was several pixels out of center. When some devices were just a pixel off, I would see a line at the top of the screen. Adjusting the centering allowed overscan to take care of the issue.
