Show Recorded at Incorrect Time

Funny thing happened to my DirecTV TiVo today.

This morning I set The Mentalist to record on the local tv station at 9PM PT. At 6pm this evening I was watching the news when I got a message saying the tuner on the other channel needed to switch to record "The Mentalist". I thought it was odd, said yes and continued watching the news.

I then checked and sure enough The Mentalist wasn't on at that time. I stopped the recording, checked the TiVo time (it's correct), settings, etc. I then highlight The Mentalist to tape at 9PM again. I hope it records as I'm not home at this point.

Anyone have an idea why this might have happened?

Are you sure you selected the show on your local channel? If you are on the west coast and you selected the east coast feed instead of your local channel that might have caused that behaviour.

What version of software are you running. The last time fix was for 6.4a. prior versions yield mixed results. Also format of shows type changed with 6.4a. It got bigger. for other versions go to hacking forum

Yup, double checked that by going to that tuner as the show was recording. I saw the local news, but the banner information was "The Mentalist", though looking at the full channel option it didn't show as such. I also checked the data on the partly 'saved' show. It showed the local channel and the current time data.
