I have a Samsung S4080R with the most recent software update. It's starting to act like the remote control functions are sticking. When I'm in the Now Playing list, if I push the up arrow it doesn't just move up one but keeps moving up. I push the down arrow it does the same thing. When I'm playing a program and push any of a number of buttons, the red light on the unit comes on and stays on until I push another random button and it finally goes back to green. Using the buttons on the unit itself works fine. I've tried resetting the unit and changing the batteries in the remote. No workie. Anyone know what's going on?

If you're feeling brave, take the remote apart, it might just be "sticky" for real in there. I haven't taken a Tivo remote apart yet, but if you're gentle with it, you should be able to snap it open. Pay attention to how it all fits together in there, and of course leave the batteries out. Or find a Circuit City that's closing, they probably have new remotes for cheap, ours does. Or Ebay - lots of remotes there. I have 2 remotes myself because I'm always putting one down somewhere.

These are typical symptoms of IR interference. Check for other remotes in the room that may have a stuck button. When this conditions happens again, cover the front of the remote and see what happens. Also, try using the remote up close to the unit. Compact fluorescent lights have also been known to interfere.
Plasma TV's also emit a ton of IR, I ended up having to put my Directv reciever in a closed cabinet.
