I have a Tivo HD with Comcast and a single M-Card.

A few weeks ago the Tivo stopped receiving some channels in the 44-64 band. The missing channels include MSNBC, Fox News, USA, VH1 and Lifetime, but we still receive CNN, and MTV, which are also between 44 and 64. When selecting one of these channels, the guide data is there, but we see a black screen and a message saying "no signal."

I have verified on the comcast website that all these channels are part of a package we subscribe to. These channels also come when using the TV's tuner, and on other TVs in the house, and on a Series I Tivo in another room. The picture quality on the missing channels when not tuned in on TiVo looks the same as channels we do receive. Also, no HD channels are affected, including HD versions of some of the missing channels. I don't think it is a signal strength issue.

BTW, I have resarted, but have not removed the cable card. Is re-pairing the card the next step?

Try pulling the plug for a min, sometimes just restarting from the menu don't fix some things.

I'm having a similar problem (along with other members in the Time Warner thread). I'm trying to troubleshoot and having a technician look at it on Saturday. I'm using a Series 3 in TWCNYC. If I find some kind of fix, I will let you know.

Possibly your cable company is in the midst of implementing ADS and your cablecard map was never updated. Happened to me a year ago.

I'm having almost the exact same problem in Newark, OH. A couple weeks ago some hd, digital, and analog channels started showing a black screen with a message like "searching for signal (cable)". They seem to be gone in banks with analog missing channel 14-20 and 32-64. All of the sd digital channels are gone. On the HD side i'm missing cbs while nbc, abc, and fox come in full signal strength. Then espn 1 & 2 don't come in while hdnet and other encrypted digital channels do.

At first I thought the cable card mapping had got messed up but I've totally erased the tivo which is supposed to unpair the cable cards. I took the cards out, cleared everything, and I'm still missing the analog channels.

The odd part is that the higher bank of analog channels that are missing. If I leave the tivo on some of them they'll flash on and off randomly to like channel 32, no matter what channel I'm trying to tune in.

All of these channels work fine on my sd tivo and on my tv where cbs hd hasn't changed the channel its broadcast on (no cable card in tv). All 3 devices are wired to the same splitter with the hd tivo getting the higher output tap.
