I know that unsubscribed TiVos cannot take advantage of multi-room viewing (MRV) transfers, but why is it that the "name" (as denoted on the My TiVo website) of the unsubscribed TiVo shows up on the others' Now Playing List (NPL)?
Now, granted, picking that one ends up stating that there are no recordings (there are, but "blocked" for lack of a better term). But not only does it show up, it has the same name as another subscribed TiVo!: HD DVR and HD DVR (2).
Shouldn't it simply not show up, or is it showing me (in interest of full disclosure) that it is networked (and possibly enticing me to subscribe it)?
Addendum: I just found out that the unsubscribed TiVo can see the TiVo files on my PC via TiVo Desktop. (However, it cannot see videos on other TiVos and the other TiVos cannot see videos on the subscribed unit.)
So a (clumsy) workaround would be to transfer videos from the unsubscribed unit to the PC and then back to a subscribed unit, or vice versa. (I know, I know: "Or just freaking subscribe the unsubscribed unit.")
