I thought that you might be interested in the steps that I had to take to correct digitization in my satellilte tv dvr system.
I have three dvrs, all of which were showing various degrees of digitization and the message, "Searching for signal in sat. 2". One was spontaneously rebooting at irregular intervals.
First, I checked & tightened all the cable connections. No improvement.
Next, I replaced the multiswitch. Two of three dvrs returned to normal operation. In the third, the digitization decreased but didn't disappear. It continued to reboot.
I replaced the hard drive. More improvement but not totally successful. Continued to reboot.
I sent the unit to Weaknees for tuner replacement. Complete success. - - So far.
