I called Friday to cancel my Tivo, I was under the impression that cancellation took place immediately. The box still shows as active under manage my account.

Just wondering because the box was on an annual plan which ends on Wed., I don't want to get hit up for another $99 if they screwed up.

Either they'll let it run until Wednesday then deactivate it or it'll deactivate at the next daily call. Daily calls are the way the subscription is validated.

Weird. I have 2 sections on my TiVo account. One is my inactive TiVos (old ones that I no longer use.. but, of course, still work... but they are ones I've cancelled since I've upgraded) and a section of my active TiVos (my Series 3 TiVos that I currently use).

Maybe you wanna call em again to verify.

yepThen they didn't cancel it. I would call back to see what happen.

I have deactivated a Tivo in the past, and it only took 30mins to hit the Tivo.

Yep, something is wrong. I canceled service on my old S1 last month and it showed up as inactive at tivo.com right after I got of the phone with the CSR.

Just got off the phone with Tivo, they confirmed that my service is in fact scheduled to end tomorrow. I guess on annual plans they give you till the plan runs out rather then immediately.
