I want to upgrade my stock TiVoHD to a 1TB. However, all my computers are so old (or are laptops) that they don't have SATA or eSATA ports. I do have drive enclosures that accept SATA drives and let you connect to the enclosure via USB2.0 (and eSATA, but that's moot for me).
I want to do save all my shows. I estimate the drive is around 50%-66% full. I've read that using USB2.0 vs. plugging the drives into a motherboard SATA interface can be drastically slower (like days instead of hours).
So any estimate of how long it would take to use WinMFS or MFSTools to do a show-preserving upgrade to a 1TB drive , using USB2, from a stock TiVoHD drive that's 50-66% full?
