I'm so far out of the upgrading loop lately that I can't remember if this is possible or not. When I got my S3, I upgraded to a 500GB internal drive. I'm now wanting to upgrade to a 1TB drive and not lose any shows. Can that be done?

It should not be an issue. Use WinMFS to copy over the contents of your original drive to a replacement drive. It will prompt you after doing the copy to expand the new drive. I did the same thing going from the original 250GB drive in my S3 to a 500GB drive and then re-expanded to a 750GB drive using WinMFS.

Excellent, thanks! I thought this restriction had been removed a few years back, but I couldn't remember for sure.

Can only WinMFS do the upgrade of an upgrade properly, or is that something the linux-based MFSTools can do also?
