Cannot Boot Kernel Error

I have a SAT-T60 that just started to display "Cannot Boot Kernel" Error.

Is there any way to save the recordings? Are they ALL lost?

Will reinstalling the kernel erase all the recordings? (But fix the problem)

I had this a very long time ago with my T60 . Unsure if i posted here or not but perhaps you can dig thru the archives to see if there's info.

The following may or may not help but cant hurt: unplug the machine and reseat the drive cable; then just let the machine sit on the green screen and maybe it would fix itself. (you may have done that)

Off the top of my head i dont know how, or if i fixed it. I want to say it continuously booted and eventually got fixed but i'm not sure. I did at least 2 upgrades so that's why i dont remember the sequence of events
