View Full Version : I tried to purchase tivo desktop plus

and the tivo site won't complete the order. I called tivo and they said it is ordered through a 3rd party vendor and the site has been down for a few weeks. They don't know when it will be working again. I just need an activation key. Was the CSR correct that I can't buy it now. It looks like lots of others on this site haven't had any problems ordering it.

It was broken a few weeks ago, but was fixed. Perhaps it is broken again. You should be able to email digital river on their site and tell them they have a problem. That is what got it fixed last time.

Well the problem from before is fixed for me. The page where you enter credit card or shipping information didn't have a button on the bottom to advance to the next page, but it is there now. Where does it die for you?

it goes to the next page to verify your order, then I click submit, then it says they were unable to process the order please verify information. So I went in and used another credit card and the same responce.

I can't verify that, I already have Plus and have no intention of buying it again just to see if you aren't the only one seeing this issue. It could be the way you entered your information or a real problem with the Digital River website.
I suggest you call TiVo support again and let them know that this is a new issue with Digital River, and detail exactly when where and how the DR site fails for you. They can then pass it on to DR to look into. You can also email DR support directly on their site and report the issue. They may respond to that more quickly than the roundabout report through TiVo.
