To review and edit your THUMBS ratings:

1. Go to 'TiVo Central'> 'Find Programs & Downloads' > 'TiVo Suggestions'.
2. Press ENTER.

Can anyone get this feature to work?

I am on a Series2 TiVo with software version 9.3.2.P4

Works fine on both my units, a TiVoHD with 9.4 and a Sony SVR-3000 Series 2 with the latest software upgrade.

EDIT: There is a slight difference between the two machines. The TiVoHD with 9.4 has its menu tree exactly as above, but the Series 2 with 9.3.2 says "Find Programs" without the "& Downloads" part. But they both work the same.

you can't review and edit all the thumb-rated programs. You only get to fiddle with the ratings on the programs that happen to be chosen for suggestions recording within the next two weeks or so. Also ince the suggestions engine tends to avoid down-thumb programs, there goes a good chunk of the population.

I've always kinda wished I could go back and get a list of every thumb-up and thumb-down I've ever done. I'm sure there's some things that I would change my mind on.

That isn't true. I found plenty of programs that are not in my guide that I could review the thumbs ratings for. Perhaps you haven't seen this new feature before?

Remebmer the "enter" button is on the bottom right hand corner.

Well maybe there is something to this. Actually "enter" doesn't do anything for me when in the suggestions screen. I guess I'm part of the "can't get this to work" group.

I'm pretty sure I could do this with my S1 with a backdoor code if I remember correctly.

At one point between versions 2 and 3 on the S1 TiVo there was a special key sequence you could enter to get access to all the Suggestions data, but they eventually took it out.

I was glad to see it come back recently but I gave up on Suggestions anyway because they essentially render the Deleted Items folder useless and having access to Deleted Items is more important to me than Suggestions.

IIRC, the Review Thumbs screen was introduced in 9.4 for the S3/THD boxes. The S2 codeline doesn't have it yet (at least, I see the same thing here: my THD/S3 boxes can get to that screen, the S2 can't).

IIRC, this has been around for a while. This isn't new news to me because I've seen this menu for a while. You've always been able to see what upcoming suggestions your machine has tagged for potential recording.

We are not talking about the Suggestions screen. TiVo added a menu recently that shows you every show you have ever given a rating too. It isn't a list of suggestions, but the actual thumbs ratings that it has data on.

The "Review Thumbs" screen should be accessible by pressing ENTER when inside the "Suggestions" screen" ...such as the "Now Playing List Options" screen is accessed by pressing ENTER while in the "Now Playing List".

Ah, my bad. I was confused. That does sound really cool. Especially since the TiVo I have in my house was with me before I got married and when my roommate used it. I have no idea what he rated, but I'd be curious to see.

the old backdoor i think was called "teach tivo" and if i recall i think you could also thumb actors and genre's and the like and not just programs.

But being able to at least edit the programs is a nice newer feature. Not sure there's a need to do the actors and the like anymore but maybe....

I got 9.3.2 on my S2DT today. I'm not able to get to a review screen on it or on my 240 with the update or my 540 with 9.3.1.

Same. I just tried it yesterday. The menu doesn't exist for me. :(
