Can I use a DirecTv Tivo unit w/ Cable????

I have had DirecTv service for the last 3 years and received a DriecTv receiver with Tivo. I have recently moved, and currently my only option for TV service is cable.

Does anyone know if I would be able to hook up that Tivo unit to my cable box and still utilize the Tivo functionality? I will only use Digital programming, but not HD (I'm not sure if that makes any difference).

Sure.

Everything But a DirectTivo works with cable -- Series 1, Series 2, the DVD combos, HD, Series, 3.

It's just that the DirectTivo works only with DirectTv.
