Well, that was fun. Bill's acolyte is taking her conversion MUCH better than I expected she would. Too bad he's dumping her off on Eric, I was hoping we'd get some episodes of Bill being the teacher and babysitter.

And Sookie, what a little slut-puppy you are turning out to be.

As for Jason's psycho girlfriend, good riddance.

Congrats to HBO for making this an entertaining series. I'm still clueless who the killer is, still watching every week, still enjoying it. When this first season is over, I'm definitely going to pick up the first book and give it a try.

Best line of the week was Terry's "I can't listen to politicians anymore- I get a seizure."

And Sookie is unlikeable. She knows Bill is off on trial for saving her, and she can't give him the benefit of the doubt? What's it been- two days? And she has a make out session with Sam?

Loved the Jessica Bill dynamic, Jason (can't remember actors name) was just a wonderful performance, and Amy deserved a far harsher and more terrifying death.

I need 12 more episodes!

You mean aside from the fact that they put a neon arrow over his head pointing to him this week? :D

Or didn't you recognize the guy in the Wanted poster?

At first I thought it was Sam, but the timing didn't work out, since he must have lived in town longer. Was he the PTSD vet without his beard?

I was trying to identify him by the boots we saw. Were those workman books form one of the road construction crew?

I'm just hoping that is really the case and we aren't left with a colossal cliffhanger next week.

Either way I'm cancelling HBO next week. A shame, really. They used to always have a good original series running. This will be my first time without HBO... ever, I think. No way I'm keeping HBO for $15 a month with no compelling original content though.

You really don't have to wait to get the book. I've read the first two, and there's enough differences between the books and the show that one doesn't spoil the other. Then again, it's only one more week.

No, we didn't recognize the guy in the Wanted poster.

He's the guy with the creole accent who is engaged to the waitress from Sam's place. Rene I think his name is?

There was some speculation in last week's thread that he might be the killer, so when Jason was talking to him and the other guy about his crazy girlfriend, and Rene asked if she ever slept with a vamp, klaxons went off in my head. :) Notice that she got killed not long after that conversation.

The fax just confirmed it.

I wish I still had the other episodes on the TiVo so I could go back and see if there were any other hints dropped.

The guy in the picture is the guy I called out as the killer in spoilers last week. Something about how they were setting him up as such a great/good guy gave it away for me. Now of course they could be sending us down a false path.

Not quite as good a show for me, I think I like Bill being with Sookie and being the good guy and don't like Tara falling apart. Still great though.

I'm also canceling HBO next week. I like Big Love and Flight of The Concords but I can wait for DVD's or marathons.

Seriously. "If Vampire politics is more important to him than me...." What? This isn't politics. He's on trial for murder. It's not like he could leave. That seemed out of character for her. She's not supposed to be stupid like that.

And yeah, I don't think we're supposed to be doubting who the killer is anymore.

I, for one, am kinda surprised that Jason's girlfriend turned out to just be some crazy girl who fell in love with him - i.e., just a tool to move the murder storyline along and make us identify more with one of the murder victims. I thought for sure there would be something more to her than that. In the book, is that character from Connecticut? I get the feeling she was written to be from Connecticut because they liked the actress but she couldn't do the accent.

The woman is who bailed Tara out of jail is an interesting story, I think. What is Tara's connection to the Oceanic Six. :D

Yes. They argued about it because she wanted to come and testify for him.

I thought it was clear enough that he left right after he killed that vampire who was about to kill Sookie. I hadn't considered that she didn't know where he was. I still think she knew where he was, or at least that his leaving was related to his killing that guy.

Another question on Vampire lore: The new girl was supposed to be a teenager, right? Does her being turned mean she'll be like (i.e., look like) a teenager forever? Is there an age where that doesn't happen? If they turn a 3 year old, does that person have the appearance of a three year old forever?

This has become my favorite show on TV. I can't wait to watch it when it comes on-it's like LOST...I won't watch it later-I must watch it immediately!

I started to suspect Rene last episode -and then when Jason was telling him at the job that Amy was involved with vampires-I knew it was him.

What a brilliant show. I'm glad it's already been renewed for a second season-I just hope HBO nurtures this show-unlike how they treated Carnivale.

I would imagine so. Kind of like Kirsten Dunst in Interview With The Vampire. they stop aging when they "die". Bill will be that "age" forever.

She knew he was going to answer for the killing, but it was a little fuzzy what would happen, and Bill didn't elaborate much other than that she wouldn't be welcome or able to testify. I don't think he gave her the impression that it was going to be a big deal.

I'm still fuzzy on the whole "making" process. Here are the steps I think have to happen.

Vamp feeds on human
Vamp feeds human their blood
They lay in dirt together
wait

I'm a little confused about #3. Bill was digging a hole for the chick and Eric sent someone to make sure he actually did it. She was worried Bill would "stake" her before she could turn. Two questions. Would staking her kill her or just prevent her from turning? Second, why did Bill crawl into the hole with her. That obviously wasn't necessary as there must have been a way he could do the whole process himself without Eric's chick there. If that's the case, how did he plan on burying himself?

She's not in the book. She is in the book, but not in the same way. As I said earlier, the books are very, very different from the series. Minor characters in the book are having major storylines in the series. There are things in the series that don't happen in the books at all. Some things happen to different characters, and some are in a different order. The two really can't be compared on a one-to-one basis. It's almost like comparing apples and oranges - they're both fruit, but that's where the similarity ends.

Yeah and at some point he dug himself out anyway...
He was waiting for her to come up 'outside' the grave.

Also, did they imply he slept with her in the 'biblical sense' or that he
just slept in the grave with her.

I can understand how he planned to dig himself out. I'm asking, how did he plan to bury himself without Eric's henchwoman there? They made it pretty clear that Eric sent her along to keep tabs on Bill, not because there was part Bill couldn't do himself.

I thought the girl asked if she and Bill had intercourse and he said no. He let some of his essence into her or something.

As a result he is able to shovel the dirt into the hole and get back in before the dirt actually hits the ground. In the book there's a story of Bill when he used to play baseball. He'd hit a line drive up the middle but would hit himself with the ball as he rounded 2nd base. ;)

The next episode must have some cliffhanger regarding Naked Pig Chick otherwise why bring her in so late in the season.

As this season draws to a close I just realized that Alexander Skarsgård who plays Eric, is the son of Stellen Skarsgård who plays Werner in the latest story arc in the 'Entourage' series. In hindsight the name and facial resemblance is a no-brainer, but I didn't connect them until now.

Wow, I am currently watching Generation Kill ( I have the last ep to watch today) and I would never have known. Even now that I do, and I can see the similarities, it's just so hard to believe. It's funny, Skarsgård was awfully good in Generation Kill and he's awfully good here, but in both cases he plays characters who have a pretty stoic façade barely covering a sardonic, subversive core. I hope the guy has more going on than that, or I suspect his shtick is going to get old sooner rather than later...
