Sounds like NBC is prepping Medium for an early comeback to replace My Own Worst Enemy.

I wonder what the ratings for Worst Week would look like if it & Gary Unmarried were in the other's time slots - i.e. Week after Christine and Gary following 2 1/2 Men?

So when can we expect According to Jim to show up as a midseason replacement?

Gary Unmarried would fit perfectly after 2 1/2 Men. It's similar humor.

9:00pm, Tuesday, December 2.

9:00? I guess they must be getting edgy this year so they can't be on during the family hour.

I'm happy about Worst Week.
I record both Worst Week and Gary Unmarried, but only Worst Week is on my "watch right away list", a list which includes shows like The Office, and HIMYM. I keep Gary Unmarried around for filler when nothing else is on.
There are sitcoms that seem soooo much alike, Gary Unmarried, Old Christine, 2 1/2 Men, 'til Death. Some are better quality than others but there's not much special about any of them.

Damn! Why couldn't I have said, "When will they bring back Karen Sisco as a midseason replacement?"

Me too. I've really enjoyed it so far. I'm a big fan of Jay Mohr and Paula Marshall.

I've never watched Christine or 'Til Death, but Gary and 2.5 Men couldn't be more different. Gary is a pretty straightforward sitcom, but Men is one of the best written shows out there. I don't necessarily think it's funnier than HIMYM, The Office, or 30 Rock, but I do think the writing is much more skillful.

Off to set up an SP.

well only ordered 3 episodes for Worst Week, so I guess the network ( like many) are not sold on it yet.

As for “Week,” while the network likes the Monday night comedy, the show has performed modestly this fall. CBS also needs to make room for the return of “Rules of Engagement,” which is likely the main reason the network didn’t order even more episodes of “Worst Week.” Nonetheless, the order means “Worst Week” remains in contention for CBS’ 2009-10 schedule.

How does a show that, by it's own title, would have a limited run, get another season? I just don't get it. Any of it.

Not sure which one you mean. In any case, no weirder than Prison Break which is now on season 3-4. How long does it take to break out. For that matter, how long will it take for Ted to meet the kids mother?

You thought week 1 was your worst week until you got to week 2. Oops, you thought week 2 was your worst week until you got to week 3. Lather, rinse, repeat. :)

But as I understand it (and could very easily be wrong), Worst Week was a UK show that had a definite run of a certain number of shows.

But as I understand it (and could very easily be wrong), Worst Week was a UK show that had a definite run of a certain number of shows.Yeah, 7 shows (one week = 7 days). The Worst Week Of My Life ran for two seven episode "seasons" (see IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0401995/episodes)). It possible they could have run for more seven episode seasons but they didn't (for whatever reason they cancel shows in the UK.) You just have a new "worst week" start in each season.
I assumed CBS planned to run three 7 episode "weeks" for a total of 21 episodes for the season. But I'm not so sure of that anymore. It doesn't seem like each episode is a day anymore like it seemed the first couple of weeks. I agree that's screwed up. But I still like the show. :)

Glad to see Medium back early. I think keeping it on the bench as a replacement has given it an extra year or two it may not have had, and I'm happy for that. It also helps that NBC has a guaranteed flameout each year so Medium can come back in and replace it. :)

That's funny, because I have a bunch of Christine episodes piled up (this whole season I think), but am watching Gary Unmarried within a day or two. I have I think 2 Worst Week episodes piled up.
