Well crap, I thought we were going to be rid of him.
I did like the little shrink lady in her returning role.

The shrink lady was also a shrink on Without A Trace. I personally am glad they didn't off
Col. Ryan.

STILL the fastest hour in television.

This episoed sucked 60% less than usual. Probably because there was only one wife featured. Of course, it's only 60% and not 66% less because the featured wife was the most annoying one. :)
At least the shrink lady gave voice to what we were saying last week about how stupid it is to think that making a tearful plea on TV is going to make terrorists less likely to kill someone.

No Kim screen time = better Unit episode, which means next week is probably going to suck. ;)
Overall, good 2-parter. I kinda figured Mac would ultimately let Colonel Ryan live. The question is why - because of what Ryan did in trying to save Jonas' daughter? To try and salvage his marriage to Tiffy? Some other reason?

I was kind of dissappointed in this episode. Especially with the Tiffy/Mac/Ryan storyline. I really thought we'd get a real resolution but they wimped out in the end. I didn't need Ryan to die or anything, but I'd have liked it if he got some major discipline. (They don't usually prosecute adultery anymore but couldn't it be used to bust him in rank or something?) Of course maybe something will happen in a future episode but...judging from the previews for next week it looks like it's back to business as usual. And when Mac "collapsed" into Tiffy's arms at the end I thought I was going to puke. Yechh! I guess they deserve each other but I could really do without Tiffy.
Red Cap had some major, albeit non-combat, involvement in this mission. Good for her for the hard call she had to make on the extraction. I hope it doesn't come back and bite her. I'm afraid they're setting her up to leave the show.
Action was great as usual.

When the pilot asked for authorization, then asked Red Cap for her ID, and she responded with her cover unit, the "303rd Logistical Studies Unit", I was expecting the pilot to respond, "the what!?!? I'm not invading Syria on the word of some paper-pushing desk jockey. Get someone from a real unit on the line or I'm not going anywhere!" :D

I noticed that too.

I thought it was pretty clear that Jonas convinced him that killing his superior officer would mean the end of his own life as well.

aw man...why didnt he die when left behind in the dungeon? What's he gonna do ? transfer out?
I wonder how long the cleric could hold up his arm like that? And that pipe ouch! way too tiny. lucky no grate at the end! Glad to see jonas ready to kill civilians. Finally a realistic show :)
So what IS his name....tom or jonas ? I swear they call him tom sometimes (not ryan either)

His name is Jonas. The others call him 'Top'. That's generally what the highest ranked enlisted NCO in a unit is called, no matter the rank.
