Hello - not sure if this is possible, but I am trying to program the "TV input" button on the Tivo remote to control a different function on my new Sharp widescreen LCD TV.
I Do not need to change TV inputs, but would like to use this button to access the "view mode" on the TV. The TV remote has this button, which changes the aspect ratio so you can switch it for widescreen or regular programming.
If I can get this function on the Tivo remote I can throw the TV remote in a drawer and be back to one remote.
Aside from the fact that I do not know what code to use, is there a way to force a code onto a button in the tivo remote instead of it wanting to send what it thinks is correct for the labeled function of "tv input".
