I have two different remotes for my TIVO series 2 box (one for me, one for the wife). The volume control on one of the remotes has stopped working. Everything else works fine and the volume control on the other remote also works fine.

Any ideas on what might cause this or how to fix it??

Sorry to be Captain Obvious - just buy a new remote.

Did you try reprogramming the remote to work with your TV?
