Hello All,

I've recently been given a Humax DTR800 (I'm very lucky :D)

However I just burned my first DVD using it. As a test I burned 2 programs which all seemed to go well.

My problem is when I try and playback this DVD in the TiVo, Any other DVD Player or on my PC, I get the TiVo menu screen showing my 2 programs, and when I select either one using my DVD remote, the program list disappears leaving me with the Tivo background, and never plays.
Using FFWD, Chapter Skip, Numbers, Play, Pause etc on the remote just displays the "Not Allowed" icon on the DVD Player. The only button I can use is TITLE/MENU which then shows my list of programs again.

If I put this DVD into my PC and load it into Windows Media player, Using the TiVo onscreen menu pages (As would in a DVD player) I get the same result.

However, if I open the SHOW LIST PANE I see:

Unknown DVD
Title 1
Title 2
Title 1--------------------------------------------
Chapter 1
Chapter 2
Chapter 3
(Up to Chapter 12)
Title 2-------------------------------------------
Chapter 1
Chapter 2
Chapter 3 etc

If I click on Title 1 (Under Unknown DVD) the DVD starts to play the first program perfectly, and I can skip chapters etc.

But anytime I try and use the TIVO MENU on the disc..which is the only option when playing on a DVD player, I can't play any titles.

I've used DVD-R Verbatim DVD's

Is this a known issue or just something funky with my Humax?

Thanks for any input.

Sounds like something went wonky with the menu creation? Have you tried burning another DVD to see if the same problem happens again?

Well, I tried it twice before posting, and got exactly the same result, but after you posting I figured I would give it one more try........

It worked fine!!

Maybe there was some cobwebs in there needed a bit of a blast LOL

Thanks for your input ;-)
