Does your camcorder have connectors so you can have standard RCA cables coming from it?

If it does, you plug video out, audio L out, and audio R out to the input jacks on the TiVo. Video to video, audio Left to audio Left, audio Right to audio Right.

Set the TiVo to receive from its external jacks. (This may require you going thru Guided Setup all over again. I personally don't have one of the DVD TiVo units.)

Begin recording with the TiVo and immediately start playing the tape.

The TiVo should record to its hard drive.

You should then be able to burn a DVD of the recording.

If you did have to go thru Guided Setup all over again, you may have to do it again to put things back the way they were.

Have you looked at your Humax "Owners' Manual"?

The DRT-800 has a firewire connector and RCA connectors. Your video camera should have one or both of these connections. Connect the cables... should be pretty simple???
