Really enjoyed this one. The Night Court bit was pretty lame, but the main storyline more than made up for it IMO. Loved Jack hooked on J.A. ("I know it's bad for me but I can't stop! And my teeth are coming loose!"). Loved the entire dynamic between Liz and Jack and Claire.

"I wish you would have told me that an hour ago!"

I think I missed some of the dirty jokes in this one though. *sigh*. I'm getting old.

PS. Great episode title too!

Gosh darn it! I told myself when I started to enter the title "remember it was YESTERDAY", but I put 11/14 in the title anyway. How do you change a thread title?

Ah... Night Court. I *still* loves me some Markie Post.

Some great lines in this ep:

"Is there nothing sacred? Have we lost our moral center? It just makes me want to pee on someone."

"Emotionally unstable women are.... fantastic in the sack. Their self-loathing translates into... nevermind."

I just watched the ep on HULU where it says "Steve Martin Guest Stars!"

Did I miss him, or did someone mistype Jennifer Anniston as Steve Martin?

Martin is in next week's ep.

And of course, every single Friends episode was titlted "The one with"

another mediocre episode, with a few lol moments. i think the "special guest stars" are bringing this show down which is unfortunate since a lot of people are interested in this show after the emmy awards and tina fey's role as sarah palin. they aren't giving new comers much to come back for...yet.

I disagree that the guest stars are bringing down the show, but they definitely aren't letting newcomers see much of the core of the regular characters.

I like the guest stars so far. Of course, I've had a major thing for Jennifer Aniston for 14 years now, so that may be my bias talking. All I could think of while watching the show was how much of her craziness I'd be willing to put up with. Answer: all of it. :)

c'mon guys...the night court plot line was awful. :)

i prefer they stay with the core cast, which is plenty interesting and more funny. ymmv :)

another mediocre episode, with a few lol moments.I actually thought this was one of the best episodes ever for the series. Loved Aniston in it. LOL'd quite a bit, had a smile on my face the whole time watching.

Was great to see Harry Anderson on TV again. He's living up in the NC mountains now and quite happy away from Hollywood. I wonder how large the pile of money was to get him to return.

I was very excited to see the cast of Night Court, but was very sad to see no Bull.

It was nice seeing the cast from "Night Court" again, but something about the whole scenario made me feel a little sad. Maybe it was the way the set was lit, or that the actors aged, or the lines. I can't put my finger on it. I just know that when I read the TiVo description for the episode I was very excited, only to feel a little bit let down by the reunion.

I noticed the final shot of the episode was a freeze frame, just like NC used to do. And of course they used the music as well. ;)

Am I the only one that can't stand Jennifer Aniston? Decent show (almost) ruined by her.

I think the Oprah episode worked her in perfectly and was hilarious. This weeks with the Night Court thing was a bit of a stretch, but I thought they did a good job with Anniston. I thought this one was still better than the season premiere, though.

Before the final shot, Kenneth stopped moving for a while too as if it were the final shot in a Night Court episode.

"Crazy putty" made me laugh. A lot.

I didn't get this one. Can someone explain it to me? This is what I remember:

-Jack asked Liz what [Jennifer Aniston]'s nickname was.
-Liz responded with something like "I can't say it out loud" and she wrote something on a piece of paper and showed Jack.
-Jack said "Crazy Putty" and Liz said "No." and Jack said "Oh."

I don't get it.

Her S's look like T's

I had considered that possibility, but assumed there was some other, funnier, option I was missing. I guess this one just didn't work for me.

I'm a fan of any episode that has Cerie (Katrina Bowden) in it for more than 5 seconds.

I actually liked her description of "Aquarium" which sounds like a legit premise for some new ultra-trendy club.

+1. She takes my breath away.

For some reason she really reminds me of Linda Doucett on The Larry Sanders Show. There's a softness and vulnerability to both of them. And, they're both hawt!

This show does not need guest stars. Period. It is way too funny without them and builds on the cast's strength. I agree the "Oprah" episode was done quite well, and while I did laugh out loud at this ep quite a few times, the Night Court part fell flat for me. The Jennifer Anniston storyline was very good I thought, although could have been played by another pretty face IMHO.

This show might start looking like The Love Boat soon. Tonight's special guest stars are <walking down the staircase> ________________

I hope not.

How would that work? Guys go to clubs to pick up chicks. If the guys and girls are all separated, with the girls all dancing in a glass "aquarium," how are the guys supposed to pick them up?

You can change a thread title for five minutes after you first post (the same time period during which you can change a post without it saying "last edited by....blah blah"). After that, you can still edit the content of the post or the subheading, but not the title.

You can change a thread title for five minutes after you first postHuh. How, though? I noticed immediately (my second post was 3 minutes after the first) but I wasn't given the option to change the title when I clicked the "edit" button. Is there something else you need to do? For future reference of course.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was asked but turned it down because he doesn't do the "bald thing" any more. (Right after the series ended, he let his hair grow back when he was in Nickelodeon's 100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd.)

I didn't really care for this episode. Night Court was before my time so I had no connection there. And the Jennifer Aniston role just seemed designed to let Jennifer Aniston play a crazy role. It was weird.

You don't know how oldly offended that made me, so I had to go figure out how young someone would have to be for Night Court to be before their time and I came to an unsettling anyone under 25 would probably have little to no knowledge of the show.

Well close, I'm 27. :) I remember that the show existed and I may have even seen an episode or two, but it doesn't hold any meaning for me.

It still is. What made it hilarious to me is that my TiVo has been picking up old episodes of "Night Court" long before this episode and I started watching a few of them. Perfect timing.

For those interested, the episodes are airing on TV Land.
