Eh, I think the "CC" worked out just fine for Randy - he certainly didn't hold back during TC so it's not any kind of surprise that he voted for her.

I'm thinking Sugar went against Charlie because she expressed how much she hated Randy and realized that if she voted for Crystal she would be stuck with him that much longer. Now it's 5-3 "middle-aged" Fang so they can take out Randy next (not that I'm rooting for that; I actually like Randy as he's by far the most interesting player).

Why was Sugar all broken up about voting Charlie? AFAIK she didn't have any special connection to him.

As long as Kenny doesn't try to 'run the game' he is sitting pretty. Randy can go next week as he pisses off alot of people and Sugar will be a solid vote against him. Then Corinne has Suzie against her the week after.

I am now rooting for Ken and/or Sugar. Thing is Ken can easily get a big head and push it too far. Sure Crystal is pretty worthless but Randy is just an a$$. Randy is the E.D. of Survivor, but thing is I liked watching what E.D. would do to annoy people. Randy is just being malicious.

I thought Corrine blew it when she was so emotional about Marcus being gone. That was sort of a first. And I love the look on Marcus's face when Charlie was voted off. Is that three blindsides now?

This was a good ep just to see Corinne in shock twice when finding out that Marcus got voted out and then when Charlie was gone. I haven't really had a favorite in the game, but I've known all along that I didn't like Corinne and Randy, so it's nice that they're not getting their way. I guess I am pulling for the Kenny/Crystal faction because they have made some good moves to get the opposing power players out of the game. Crystal has to be the worst athlete ever to win an olympic medal in the sprints, but strategically, she's made some good moves lately so I guess she is growing on me.

Charlie would probably trade the million dollars for getting to spend some more time with Marcus, anyway.

That's what I wondered. The wife and I both figured she was voting for Crystal based on her tears. When it was revealed she voted for Charlie, I thought 'what the hell? why are you crying? you barely know him!'

Well Bob seems like a very smart guy. Probably the most intelligent person still in the game. If there is a way to do something interesting with it, he'll think of it.

I was very surprised to see him not be successful with the fire though. In fact they should all be able to make fire with those kinds of tools.

Kenny is my MVP on the Fantasy Survivor game. I really think he has a chance to win. His alliance can make it to 4 easy now. Then just pick off the others.

Remember, most of these people aren't fans of the show, so they didn't realize how important it is to learn to make fire. Susie was very surprising in that one, but still worthless.

I told my wife last night, if you are so impressed with yourself for being a swing vote, it just means you don't have an alliance and you will be voted off before the rest of the winning alliance. Unless she is smart enough to help whittle down each time alternating each week. That could work.

Well, everyone assumes there is only one. But the producers could choose to put another one out there. I think we may see Bob working things with Sugar. They're both sort of in the middle. And if so, maybe Bob can convince Sugar to swap the real for the fake. IIRC, those that know about Sugar know it was wrapped in her bag, but did they ever see what it looked like? If not, Sugar could leave the fake one sort of available to be seen, then if they were to avoid forcing Sugar to play it (wrong play though, they should try to), they might vote for Bob and voila.

Of course none of that is likely to happen.

My final observation: Bob should work in the Survivor art department because the fake immunity idol he made is incredible. Truly beautiful. Still not exactly sure how he pulled it off but there had to be a bit of smelting going on and I don't even know what smelting means! His students back home in Maine should be proud! "Ole teach" is working it and the merge has given Bob new life!

Bob's Fake II is amazing. They are lucky they did not send him to exile early and he made it and left it for someone else to find. Ingenious way of using tree sap (or whatever) for the glue and making a face and some feathers and looked like beads off the side.

Clearly from previous comments I'm a fan of Bob but I wouldn't mind if Kenny were to come away with it.

Randy is playing the game brilliantly in my opinion. He is like The Joker, in a way. He gives the truly crazy a little push and then the fireworks go off right on cue. It will backfire, eventually. But it will be a fun ride till it does.

Didn't that kind of gambit actually backfire in one of the previous season of Survivor? I don't remember which season or who it was, but it seems someone had a real idol and formed an alliance based upon having it, and the alliance voted him off. He was so sure of his alliance, he actually left the idol at camp when they went to TC. I might be remembering the facts wrong.

I'm not sure the fake idol has any use as Kenny, Matty, Crystal, and Sugar all know Sugar has the idol. No way. Who in their right mind would want her gone right now? She's a little too powerful with idol, but they can live with it. If I were Kenny, i'd be praying that I could take 2 from the Sugar, Crystal, Suzy group with me to the final 3, because it'd be a cakewalk in front of the jury.

I can't imagine the jury would respect someone who basically did nothing the entire time but cast swing votes and cry.

I don't see how the idol ever makes anyone powerful in this game? James had TWO idols and they didn't keep him from going home. The thing with the idol is that you have to actually play it the night people vote for you.

Flip floppers are always the first ones to go once they're no longer the swing vote. And for good reason. (Not saying I wouldn't like to see Sugar stick around.)

Maybe Bob could convince them that Sugar's idol was a plot between her and Ace (the only other person who got a good look at it) since she couldn't find the one that was hidden. Sounds like something Ace would cook up. Then they can compare the 2 idols and decide which one they think is authentic--or maybe they both are. That should be enough doubt to keep Bob safe for a while. It gets harder to safely flush out the idol as the numbers dwindle.

That's what I'm guessing that Bob will do. He is smart enough to realize that Sugar probably does have the idol and her former tribe-mates probably do know she has it. But as you say, there could be another one. I don't see any of the rest of the crew doubting that, especially since another one already popped up at the feast.

What having the "idol" gains Bob, though, remains to be seen. It could just make him a blindside target and get him voted off. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

If they decide that they have to force Bob to play the idol and it's not a real one, he's gone. Jeff tosses it in the fire, snuffs his torch, the tribe has spoken.

As others have mentioned, his best bet would be to deal with someone and give them the fake idol. That's the only benefit I can see to it. I don't know that if they think he has an II that they will just NOT vote for him - could happen, but I don't know it's worth the risk.

That isn't what I was thinking of. I remember the issues with Ghandia but don't remember that happening at the vote - so I guess this has happened at least three times.

Why between Randy and Matty? I'd think the Kenny/Crystal/Susie group would want to get rid of Randy, Corinne and Bob before they get rid of Matty. Remember, Matty is one of them.

I'd say it's tenuous. Remember, the last time Matty was together with them, he voted for Crystal with Ace. Matty looks around and knows he doesn't have any numbers. His strategy to win has to be immunity every time.

Even if he's comfortable that Randy goes next, he's likely the only person left that can keep immunity from Randy if it's a physical challenge.

I am hoping Bob will find Sugar's Idol in her bag and SWITCH them!Can't. Survivors can't steal the Idol, otherwise Tribal Council day would be one big thief-fest.

If they decide that they have to force Bob to play the idol and it's not a real one, he's gone. Jeff tosses it in the fire, snuffs his torch, the tribe has spoken.That's normally a risk but I don't know if it's likely right now. There are two factions with almost equal strength, and they really dislike each other for the most part. The chances of one of those two factions splitting their votes to cover the HII are pretty slim, for at least a few more shows (if they keep their alliance together). And the chances of both factions working together to do it are even less.

Coriine is the most arrogant player in Survivor. She's losing, and thinks she's playing a brilliant game. Sugar did the right thing: if she voted Crystal out, she's against Corinne, Bob, and Charlie. She doesn't stand a chance against them. But hell, anyone can win against Crystal and Susie, and I'm pretty sure she can manipulate Matty and Kenny.
