I thought it was a little slow compared to last week's fantastic episode, but it looks like they are setting up the final 2(?) episodes of the season.

Loved Stal being all "I'm so sorry Hale, I guess the stress is getting to me". Then she burns him and has him escorted out of the building later. Ha ha

Maybe I missed something, but I did have one question. How did Stal know that Jackson was the lookout? Was that just pure bluff or was there more information? The reason I ask was that later the guys were saying there was no way a witness could have seen the shooting AND Jackson, so in their opinion Ope must have ratted.
Did I miss something?

I took it as a bluff to see if she could elicit some kind of response from him. I'm not sure whether she got the response she was looking for or not, but it probably has Bobby sweating.

I hope they don't kill Opie but it won't shock me if they do.

Those are my exact feelings on the subject. You just never know with this show. I do think Hale will come through and tell SAMCRO about Stahl's ruse.
Also, did anyone besides me Not know that Piney was Opie's old man? I had no idea until last night's episode.

that's what i think will happen as well, i see Hale ultimately becoming just like the old sheriff eventually, after a few more run-ins with the non-Charming crowd.

I'm continuing to dig this show. Good writing, a compelling story line and some great acting.
Is it me or was Gemma's chest scar much more visible this week?

Yep, I was staring at it when Gemma was talking to Lady Doc.

I know nothing about law enforcement hierarchy. Can ATF do half the things they do to the Charming police department like taking over police headquarters, detaining the sheriff and having the deputy escorted from the building?
There sure are some dumb women in this show. They must love criminals who wear the same clothes every day.
I want to see a brawl between Gemma and Stal in the finale.

That's a good question, and I don't know the answer although it has struck me as being very odd. I suppose the fact that the sheriff is in bed with the SoA (figuratively) and the deputy is in bed with the ATF (literally) might complicate things...
But I have to wonder if the Profiler is almost as off-the-reservation as Dutch was.

As a biker, I hate seeing Jax wearing sneakers on the Harley.

Taking over the office is questionable. Probably more of a bully tactic. What's the Sheriff going to do? Have her arrested for trespassing?
I don't think they could incarcerate the Sheriff unless he was under arrest. Same as any other citizen.
Escorting the Assistant Chief from the building? I think they were in a Federal building so they could have him removed since it was Federal property.
Capybara = world's largest rodent. Good choice of title.

I really love this show but I really hate that I don't get FX in HD. Every week I tell myself I'm deleting the SP because I hate seeing a 16x9 pic on a 4x3 screen (I get those stupid black bars across the top and bottom of a 4x3 screen...just awful!) I've tried stretching it, but it just looks worse. But then I start watching the ep and can't turn it off because the story is so good even if the picture isn't.

When Gemma kissed the baby-mama, I thought, 'ok that was the kiss of death, your toast.
I am really hoping to see Katy get nominated for this series.

Well, we've already seen eleven and there are still two more, so unless the cancellation is retroactive I wouldn't worry!
(In fact, I'm pretty sure it's already been picked up for Season 2 (http://www.tvweek.com/news/2008/10/fx_picks_up_second_season_of_s.php)...)
Looking at that article, SoA did better than The Shield in the Let's Cast The Creator's Wife In An Important Role sweepstakes! :D

Glad it will be back. But this quote from the article has me confused
“I think the underlying themes of family and the common man's fight against oppressive corporate greed has grabbed people's attention,” Mr. Sutter said
Where's the oppressive corporate greed in Charming?

I doubt we will. I assume it was a surgical scar from when she was an infant to repair "the family flaw".

FCC rules supersede HOA/Condo rules. I'm not sure what the dish size limit is though.

It's not a Condo Assoc rule, it's a rule of the mgmt company that I rent from. Not worth the effort to me to try to fight it. I agreed to the rule when I signed the lease.
