So Tired of Comcast

If any of you are having the nightmare cablecard issues with Comcast, I urge you to complain direct to the FCC. The cablecard was forced on Comcast by the FCC, and their inability to make provisioning smooth and seemless is an obstructionist method of proving to the FCC that cablecards don;t work. (Sort how the bells killed CLEC's and the 1996 Telecom Act, and we are back to big monopolies running things.) You know and I know cable cards can be self provisioned with NO risk to security. So why is it that Comcast requires YOU to go get the card, and you call someone, who has to send an e-mail to someone to get your card provisioned, and maybe in 2-3 days (if the card isn;t broken) you have the cablecard up and running. THIS IS SILLY and nothing more than obstructionism. Write the FCC and demand a change or we may loose our cablecards and TIVO with them!

Comcast in Augusta, GA claimed they don't carry cablecards, so I wrote a formal complaint to the FCC, now i have cablecards.. complaining works!

we know that, but cox and other companies still require a truck roll to install the cards.

I have never had any issues getting a cable card up here in the Mass area. maybe that's because Comcast is charging almost $5 for a cable card.

Actually, Comcast in MA includes the cost of one CableCARD in any digital package price (instead of a cable converter box), and charges $1.50 per month extra for a second CableCARD if you need it. If you don't have a digital package, then it is $5 per month for the CableCARD.
