I noticed that the other day. If I can remember my Youtube ID & password, I'll try that out (I'm hoping that is stored so you don't have to enter it every time). It'd be nice not to have to use the clunky text interface to find the same Cookie Monster videos over & over for my kid :D

I can confirm that it saves your username and password

Has anyone been able to login via their google account? My youtube account is linked to my google account and I have not been able to login with it.

I'm having the same problem, and glad I'm not alone anymore.

Cool, I'll have to give that a try... it takes forever to enter keywords with the onscreen keyboard. Can TiVo use a USB keyboard?

Yes - A keyboard, what a novel idea! Sometimes using that Tivo remote can be a real pain in the keester! Could you imaging using a PC with a Tivo remote? NOT!

Yes
So is that "Yes" as in it can or "Yes" as in you think it would be a good idea? I didn't think it was possible but I haven't tried. Somewhere on the forum here is some sort of program that tries to do keyboard emulation (in a fashion)... I don't recall any of the keywords though to look it up, or what I was searching for when I came across it :(

It does? How? I tried logging in once, which worked great, but next time I went back, I had to enter my info again. Annnnnoying!

I've had to re-enter my stuff once, but typically it will save it

I had a house full of family ranging from teens to 40s over Thanksgiving and we played with YouTube's search function. To a person they asked why in the world can't you enter text the way you text on a cell phone?...

I'll give it a try. I was so annoyed to have to do it again, that I didn't bother. It was quicker to type my search than to renter all the login info.

That was one of the improvements Verizon made on their FiOS STB's... It's much cleaner...
