Wow, every time you think Cartman can't possibly go any lower...
I stand by my speculation as in my post on last week's thread (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?p=6767328#post6767328) that they're now producing "South Park" for widescreen and not worrying about the 4:3 safe area -- note that, in the classroom scenes, Kyle was being cut off on the right side of the screen, and Mr. Garrison was being cut off on the left.
So...don't Matt and Trey have enough clout to get Comedy Central to show it letterboxed?

I watched it after 90 minutes of presidential debate, so my mind might have been a bit fried, but I thought it was a very meh episode, quite lightweight.

really? i thought it was genious! It was definatly no World of Warcraft episode but it seems like they are going for more of a shock value this season and not so much the random comidy. But no matter who you are you had to of love seeing cartman get the crap kicked out of him. ^.^

The fight sequence with the slow-motion and freeze frames was pretty funny. I also like the principal's pep-talk speech to Wendy.
In the one scene when Cartman was making his breasts "talk" with his hands ... is that the first time a character has actually had fingers?

The fight was a callback to the movie Snatch.

Thank you! I couldn't place it exactly but you're right, it's the Piker fight.

After maybe the WORST epidode of all time last week, this one was a great comeback. Always great to see the obnoxious, yet sniviling Cartman. Anyone else expect Wendy to hit Cartman once and he'd start to cry and call out for mommy, like he always does when Kyle hits him?
I agree, they are going after shock value this year. The show is getting a bit too raunchy even for my tastes.

We haven't heard from Wendy in a while and they still referred to her as Stan's "girlfriend." I liked how the emo kids challenged Stan's manhood for letting Wendy fight Cartman and not stepping up for her.

I loved this one, but I liked last weeks a lot too. Both were really good in my book, and both did a great job of poking at 'issues' and events while still giving some respect to them at the same time. (Well, ok, not so much respect towards Lucas/Spielberg, but at the same time you can tell Parker and Stone loved the original material from those guys ;) )

Which is ironic given that so much of the episode focused on breasts. :D

I thought last week's was boring, but this one was a good, groundbreaking episode. I'm a big fan and rooter for Cartman, but somehow I enjoyed seeing him get all bloodied up. It's possible I'd've enjoyed it more if Wendy was the one who got her excrement pounded from her.
Also, I sort of was expecting to see an aftermath showing Mrs. Cartman's and Wendy's parents' reactions, but it was still a darned good episode.

Speaking of excrement, how about when Cartman popped up onto Mr. Garrison's desk and laid one down?

I was laughing so hard I had to pause the show until I could start breathing again.

I don't like the "shock value" shows that much. I miss the old days when it was just really funny.

Did he just call us emo kids?

Watched it again this evening and enjoyed it more. I really need to stop trying to watch this at late-thirty Wednesday night.

Still catching up on South Park, but the other movie that was homaged her was Three O' Clock High. I like Cartman when he is successfully manipulative.
