I hate Fox. last week we had all new family guy American dad shows,. This week nothing. How about Fox not start their new seasons until after baseball is over!!
I should learn to not get excited about having a new Family Guy until I see it on the tivo.

Speaking of which, all they did was replay last week's episodes.

Eh it happens. I think it was worse when FOX previewed the next episode of House and it said in "4 weeks".

I hate Fox. last week we had all new family guy American dad shows. This week nothing.
Next week, all new FG and AD. (That is, unless the Dodgers manage to win games 5 and 6 of the NLCS, and game 7 is rained out of its scheduled Saturday date.)
The week after that, nothing.
The week after that, all new FG and AD - but that's a Fox NFL doubleheader day, which means there's a chance, if you live in the Eastern or Central time zones, that the episodes will be delayed by a few minutes.
How about Fox not start their new seasons until after baseball is over!!
They tried that for a number of years. Too many Simpsons and FG fans complained; besides, Fox had to end its other Sunday series early in order to burn off the unaired Simpsons and FG episodes two at a time in May. (Also, this year, they have the added problem of finding room for The Cleveland Show.)
Speaking of which, all [Adult Swim] did was replay last week's episodes.
I noticed that too - even though the AD commercial was for the new one. (The commercial they aired for next week is an older one that Adult Swim hasn't aired yet, although I wouldn't be surprised if they air this season's second episode in its place.)

You're getting the same number of eps. Get some new ones now, get some new ones later. Either way, you're still getting the episodes. Whether it's on this week, but not next week seems like no big deal to me. Reminds me of the person I overheard in the bookstore the other day when they saw a partisan book for the party they didn't like - "I hate that guy. I wish the bookstore would burn down and take the store with it."
Those poor Fox execs in hell right now. ;)

Here's a tip... you can record it on your TiVo and watch it after baseball. It would be like a bonus episode the first week.

People should realize without sports Fox probably would not exist.

That kind of logic didn't work for LOST fans. Now we have to wait FOREVER between seasons because watching reruns in between new episodes is just catastrophic apparently.

Not at all what I expected this thread to be about. I clicked on it expecting to read that one of my fav shows had been cancelled. Glad that wasn't it!

Either you missed the season premieres, or I presume you meant, "They give two episodes, then nothing."

Lost is nothing, man. Just think of what it's like for 24 fans.

What people want, apparently, is continuous episodes, but what they don't realize is that they'd get is basically 50 episodes made with the same budget as 22 episodes, so everything will be less than half as good.

The UK realized this a long, long time ago.
That's why some of the best shows are only 6-8 episodes a season. They work on good scripts rather than deadlines and rarely flog a show to death just to get the advertising dollar (or pound).

Can you imagine the regurgitation of outrage we'd see/hear if US networks started doing most 6 and 8 episodes per year for series? :D

What, people are complaining about 6 months between seasons? Sopranos was like 18 months between seasons!

This year 24's got the Soprano's beat. We waited 6 months for the season to start last January, only to have it postponed an entire year. By the time 24 airs it will have been AT LEAST 18 months (not counting the 2-hour movie that's gonna to suck balls).

The wait between The 4400 seasons was bad too. Maybe not 18 months, but it sucked to only get 12 episodes once a year.
