So, is that where Dexter is placing all of his bodies now? I think we're seeing a trend of Dexter becoming very sloppy with killing the wrong guy, killing people who don't fit the code. I wonder if this show ever ends up with him being caught? I've never liked Jimmy Smits, but I like his role on this show.

I hope Dexter had the presence of mind to delete the pix of Astor off the perv's computer.

Do we think that Dexter just left the perv laying in the middle of the kitchen floor? We saw no indication that he had a kill room prepared. Did he actually strangle him to death? That's a big departure from his usual methods. Dexter is definitely evolving.

Dexter has too much of a social life to fit his serial killer lifestyle. DA knocking at his door with a bottle of rum, clingy girlfriend, nosy sister etc...
Now I know why serial killers keep to themselves and are loners.

Jimmy Smits' character seems a bit off to me. Either he knows Dexter is a dangerous psycho that he's going to eventually prosecute, or he himself is some sort of vigilante serial killer too.

I got the feeling Dexter was lying about the body being in the cemetery.

Yeah, definitely not there. Dexter would never be dumb enough to tell Prado where the real body (parts) is (are).

He has used a garrote wire in the past. I do wonder if he cut the guy up and dropped him off in the gulf stream, though.

Have we seen him actually kill someone by strangulation or simply subdue them long enough to get them to the kill room for the real action?
I was surprised that once it became evident that Freebo didn't actually kill Tegan, we didn't hear Dexter wondering whether he'd done the right thing. IIRC, Oscar Prado was the first person he'd killed that wasn't a murderer. Now it turns out Freebo wasn't either. Neither was the Nathan Marten. Dexter is starting a dangerous new trend.

He was trying to kill Freebo in episode one. Freebo had gotten away with the murder of two women earlier.

Oh yeah, you're right. I guess Freebo doesn't count. But Oscar (extenuating circumstances) and Nathan (perv targeting Astor) weren't murderers. The point still remains. Dexter's methods and "morals" are changing.

Has dex gotten away from the needle/syringe? He is getting everyone with a rope or so from behind.

Oscar might have been a murderer. Who knows. His morals are definitely changing, though, no doubt about it. Almost as bad as offing someone who wasn't a murderer is bringing an opened carton of milk home to rita from the guy's place. That's just gross and wrong.

It wasn't an open carton of milk. Cheerio's guy bought it at teh store and Dexter watched him put in the Fridge. After taking care of him Dexter took it home. Why let good milk go to waste? :)

Wow, your memory is much more impressive than mine, it seems. I am ok with this scene after all. :D

I think he only uses the needle/plastic wrap for those that fall within his moral code. The victims have to be murders. That guy who took pictures of kids and Jimmy Smits characters brother were not murders. One was a threat to Dexter's "cubs" and the other was self defense.
The whole needle/plastic wrap thing is to make the murders aware of "why" Dexter is killing them. Dexter shows pictures of the murderers victims or he tells them why he is going to kill them.
Perhaps Dexter's code is splintering. He has his original code he got from his father Harry and a new code of his own creation. One which is evolving.

This has become my 2nd favorite show, supplanting Heroes. LOST still number one for me.
Nice to see Dexter's instincts are still right on. Wish there were a real Dexter out there when it comes to pervs...sorry but that's how I feel.
I don't see Smits lasting beyond this season. Dex can never move on knowing someone knows a secret of his...and his bro...fuhgeddaboudit!!
Did I see a hint of an affair with Deb and the snitch? That would be crazy. But with her you never know. BTW, anyone else think she's sexy as hell?

Kinda sorta. Dexter does tell them why he kills them, but the whole needle/plastic wrap thing is so that he doesn't leave any physical evidence while he kills them and cuts them to pieces. Which he enjoys doing. The whole code about killing only killers is something Harry came up with to turn Dexter's immoral desires into something useful.
One of the whole unresolved issues of the series is just how moral is Dexter. Is he a psycopathic killer? Is he killing just for his own desires, or is it about taking care of bad guys? Will he develop a conscience?

Yes, yes, yes and no...although a baby may change that.

It's Jennifer Carpenter. I predict some creepy dream sequences that the actors will enjoy filming.

Thanks. I knew it didn't sound quite right when I typed it, but was too lazy to look it up.
