I tried searching for my answer, but couldn't find it.
My question is what information from me and the new onwer do I need to provide when I call to transfer service?
You'd think TiVo would have that on their site, but I couldn't find it there either. Just the phone number I have to call to get it done.
Thanks for any help.

You as the seller need not do a thing.
The new owner, if he/she wants, can call TiVo and transfer the box to his/her name.

It's as easy as pie! My brother gave me his and it was a simple phone call. I thought it was going to be all drawn out. Nope! If you are the recipient CONGRATS!

Just run guided setup on your ZIP code so TiVo CSR can see the TiVo called in on a new ZIP.

I recently, as a buyer of a used Lifetime TiVo, called to transfer service. They wanted to know what the identification number of the TiVo was (I think they call it the service number), and the name and address of the seller who sold it to me. Fortunately, the package it came in had a return address on it. The whole call just took a few minutes.
(I realize you're the seller, but I thought I'd post this for the benefit of buyers that might be reading.)
I originally looked online to see if I could do this online, but my research failed to find a way to do it, so I called in by phone and got it done. It's possible this is the only way.
Also, even though theoretically a buyer doesn't need to do this to get the TiVo to work, if you want multi-room viewing to work, I think this is a necessary/prerequisite task that the buyer needs to do.

If you tell the CSR the TiVo Service Number (a must in all cases) and you have run guided setup using your ZIP code and tell the CSR to check the ZIP that the TiVo is using you, in most cases, do not have to know who the TiVo was registered to, say you purchase one from an auction house, you will not know the last owner. You can't do this xfer from the WEB it does take a phone call to TiVo.
