Overwrite a new upgraded drive?

Just had success upgrading dual drive to single drive w/o transferring shows. Used backup | restore via MFSlive 1.3. Now the wife wants her shows. Can I just reaccomplish (will need to probably use dd_rescue since B drive was failing)...or in other words will it just overwrite my successful upgrade?
Seeking reassurance...in lieu of an argument with the wife :)

Backup | Restore or dd_rescue will over-write any data on the destination drive destroying the data.

The data is shared across the drives. You need both drives working to recover the recordings.

might be possible if you still have both of the drives from the TiVo. dd_rescue the failing drive to a new drive. Next do the backup | restore from the new set to a 3rd or run with the new set in the TiVo.
