Emerson LC320EM9 Remote Code?

Need remote code for brand new Emerson LC320EM9 TV!

Sorry but there isn't preprogrammed remote, either universal or oem with preset code for the current emersons/sylvanias.

You want to get down to a single remote? You will need a learning remote and use the emerson remote to teach it the commands.

I just can't believe that tivo won't update codes as new TV's come out!

Does this mean as people replace their tvs, eventually the tivo remote will become obsolete?

Or is this a rare case with Emerson brand tv's?

If that is the case.... I will be returning this one for a different brand!

One thing to know is that the codes for the various TVs and receivers are stored in the remote itself. You need a way to reprogram it for every new TV models that comes out. Maybe TiVo could produce a learning remote to get over this limitation. This is why, the universal/programmable remote market is as large as it is. I have the Harmony 880 remote. It is programmed via a Logitech website which is updated with the latest remote codes. It can also learn the remote codes from the original remote if needed.

The standard tivo remotes were obsolete the day there were manufactured, since they have no way upgrading its code list.

There are Tivo Learning remotes, do a search for GLO remotes.

Anyways sylvania/ Emerson are not letting the code out to other remote manufacturers, similar to Directv, the only oem remotes with a code for the current line directv receivers are only made by UEI.
