View Full Version : Comcast TiVo Marketing Push?

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone in the New England area has seen a TiVo Comcast push yet? I remember reading in Tivo's last quarter report that comcast was planning a large marketing push for the Comcast TiVo product in September. Well, its September 28th today so has it started yet? Is it ready for prime time?

I haven't seen a Comcast/Tivo commercial in months.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for that "marketing push" they promised.

Apparently it's OK to lie about this stuff. Rogers has been doing it for years.

Maybe your part of town doesn't meet the demographic criteria for the marketing push.:D

Also, in today's Comcast quarterly call they said Chicago may be up next - early 2009.

We are rolling out TiVo beyond the Boston market test, where things are going quite well and we are going to be introducing other cities, probably starting with Chicago in the first quarter next year.

For everyone in Chicago, as a resident of the Boston area where we've had the full Comcast experience, I'd suggest going to www.tivo.com and getting a system that actually works.
