Newegg currently has the 1TB ecogreen (HD103UI) on sale for $120, shipped. I've already tried, and rejected, the WD green 5400 rpm 1TB drive that others have complained about (although my problem appears to be unique - stuttering)...Tom's Hardware just reviewed (http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/terabyte-samsung-spinpoint,2026.html) the Samsung and said it runs signifcantly cooler, and uses less power, than equivalent 7200 RPM drives (and with only a slight performance hit, which of course doesn't matter for video anyway).

Here (http://www.samsung.com/global/business/hdd/productmodel.do?group=72&type=61&subtype=78&model_cd=353&ppmi=1170) is the Samsung product description page for the 1TB model.
