Change to premier of My Name is Earl

NBC just alerted us that they are changing the length of tomorrow night's premier of My Name is Earl. We'll be trying to udpate the data but not all DVRs will be able to get that update in time, so adjust accordingly. I don't know anything other than what they've sent us.

I saw that too. I guess they just combined the two, but they were both listed as new episodes, so it probably won't cause anyone problems.

Mine (DTivo, 6.2a) had the same hiccup. One recording of the updated, hour-long showing of the two combined episodes, and one 30 minute recording of the old time slot, and that duplicate recording bumped a lower priority SP. :( I got lucky, and caught it in time, my wife's tivo was live buffering the channel I needed to save the recording .:)

WTF is up with the returning problem of "someone modified your season pass" that happened multiple times last year and happened again tonight.

Just noticed that Survivor and Earl aren't recording due to this bogus message.

Just when I was giving very serious consideration on upgrading to dual TivoHD's. I have to say more research is needed to see if this bug carries over to all models or just the DirecTivo that I have.

It's times like this that an old fashioned manual VCR beats out Tivo. :mad:

I found out too late and missed Ugly Betty. It recorded an hour of Earl on one tuner and the other tuner recorded the last 30 minutes of the same channel.

Screwy listings.

My Tivo zapped the two 1/2 hour My Name Is Earls, and then didn't set up the 1 hour show. The one hour show doesn't even show up in the history list. The 1/2 hour shows "no longer in program guide".

I can live without My Name is Earl though. What pissed me off even more is that it also zapped the Survivor premiere. Number one priority on the SP list and all I got is a "someone changed the SP" message. Doesn't make sense. :mad:

We're very unhappy with Tivo tech right now too. Same issues as everyone else, high priority shows in the ToDo list, that end up not recording at all. Ie, Survivor.

So what do we do about it?
