I am having trouble creating the CD from Silicon Dust that I am supposed to boot off off. I have tried extracting the ISO image and then writing that to the CD, I have tried to use Toshiba Disc Creator to create a bootable CD, but it says the ISO file is an invalid format. Is there a easy way to create the disk that doesn't cost money or require special software?

The first thing to come to mind is:

You need to use the function in your software to write the .ISO to the CD. Most people make the mistake of writing the file to the CD, which just creates a copy of the .ISO on the CD. I'm don't know about your software, but Nero has the option to "Make a Data Disc", "Make a Bootable Disc" and under the "Copy and Backup" menu item, "Burn Image to Disc."

Since an .ISO file is a disc image, you'd want to make sure you're NOT making a data disc or making a bootable disc.

If you're already aware of this, I apologize for the lesson, but a lot of people still make the mistake of burning the .ISO as a file onto a data disc rather than creating an image on the disc.

Thanks for the help. I downloaded a free copy of Nero and that did the trick. What you said was exactly what I was trying to do. I never put myself above the possibility of self induced idiocy.

Now I am just having trouble getting the ,#401 to work. I am stuck at the initial setup when it asks you for the area code and zip code to dial in and get the local numbers. I have T-Moble @Home (VoIP) that wont let me dial in. I have tried ,#019 when I had Vonage, worked for Vonage, not with @Home, that is why I got the CacheCard.

Any suggestions?
