A couple of HD Tico questions.

I want to buy the HD Tivo from amazon that's 255 bucks. I want to know how am I going to get it working when my series 2 is still working right now? Do I sign in some how on the HD Tivo and the service automatically cuts off on my old one?

I was also wondering if I can record HD and Digital channels off my QAM tuner? I don't care about guide data or anything, I just want to be able to record from a set time frame. THANKS:)

You need to purchase a subscription for the HD TiVo. If you don't, it will stop working after about 7 days.

What? I thought the service was universal to all boxes? There must be some way that it just transfers right over. I pay yearly right now...

I know I was able to change the service numbers on 2 THDs on my account on tivo.com. Both were series 2s that were on a monthly plan that I moved over to THDs. Not sure if that option is avaiable on yearly subs.

Just go to your account on tivo and see.

I believe you have a 7 day trail subscription after that you will need a subscription. You can transfer your membership from the S2 or purchase another one.
