Hi, glad I found this forum! I just upgraded to HD with the new Directv hd dvr
and moved the existing R-10 tivo to another room that only has a single line. I went through the guided setup and configured it for the new 3 lnb dish and for the single line. The problem is, the tivo seems to still think it has two lines hooked up and uses the second tuner to record shows from the season pass list. Of course, no shows record. Do I have to do a complete erase and start fresh, or is there a setting that I missed or is not included in the guided set? Also, it occasionally looses most if not all the channels, and regains them after I do a system reset. Please Help!

Re-run guided setup. One of the questions its asks is how many lines are run to the device. You may have answered that incorrectly.

Thanks for the reply. I thought that may have been the problem, so I ran the guided set up again, but it was already set correctly for one cable. The season passes were all set up when the unit was connected to two cables. Should I delete all of them and reenter them again with it connected to only one cable?

one other thing, the new dish is a 5 lnb, the tivo only lists up to a 3 lnb in the guided setup, which is what it is currently set for. Could this be the problem?

Correct selection is "3-LNB". Repeating "Satellite Guided Setup" should force the Tivo to recognize that only one tuner is now available and automatically adjust your Season Passes based on their priority.

Thanks for all the help. The setup was correct and oddly enough, the tivo seems to be working correctly now. It seems like it took a couple of days for the reprogramming to take effect!
