What no thread again ????

Somewhat of a forgettable episode for me. Good, enjoyable but I'm struggling to remember anything too interesting. The whole Vic vs the old Captain story has got kind of old and I'm already tiring of the "Armenian setup of the week" thing.

Don't get me wrong it's still my fav show right now but I have high expectations.

So did Shane make a copy of the docs or not ? It's all silly really since he wrote them by hand he could just do it again.

I just haven't watched it yet. :) Personally I think they're building up to something big for the end.

I agree with that assessment. I have no real complaints it's just a slower episode.

More importantly, did Shane's wife make a copy?

I'm sure that Marra did something with the file.
I thought it was a good episode and the season has done an excellent job of building tension for what should be an awesome finish.

I'm sure that something will come of the bruises on Cassie's arms as well.

Could Shane possibly think that Vic would trust him not to make a copy of the file?

Shane does not seem to be the sharpest knife in the drawer.

(That was intended as Scandinavian understatement, by the way.)

I liked this one.

I don't think Dani is going to be happy that Dutch is going behind her back to get her a desk job.

It seemed a little too easy to get that Escalade out of the impound lot.

I don't know, I think he played it rather cunningly. Claudette will think she's doing Dani a favor, and Dani will think she's doing Claudette a favor.

The scene with Tina and the porn guy was "interesting"
Definitely a nice outfit.

i liked the episode...the plot thickens with acevada taking the blackmail file (did vic not make a copy of it before?)...and vic setting up the albanian(?) to give him his top men.

Am I just imagining this or was there speculation of Tina being in the porn industry before? I'm not sure why but it seems to ring a bell.

I've never been to L.A. If it's 10% of the way it's portrayed in this show, I never will.

To be fair, The Shield pretty much takes place in one really bad neighborhood...

I agree. For the same reason The Sopranos has turned me off on New Jersey.

I was turned off on NJ WAAAAAAY before The Sopranos. Driving the NJ Turnpike once is enough to do that to you....

which one?

And did that new blonde in the station replace someone? i cant remember why she is there officially. I thought there was a hiring freeze etc.

i think vic's outpouring to shane may have been contrived, based on his face afterwards

She's a Fed-something, I can't remember what she is officially either.

Ninja Edit: isn't she ICE (whatever that is)?

It's a fictional neighborhood, but it seems to be based on South Central (of Rodney King Riots fame).

(The show was originally called Rampart and set in the Rampart Division station, because of the infamous corruption scandals there in the 90s. But the LAPD protested, and the setting was fictionalized; they took the opportunity to "downgrade" the neighborhood.)

The blonde is there so she and Vic can get it on at some point.

I'd rather see the blonde get it on with Claudette than see her defiled by Vic. Ok, that's an exaggeration, but Vic shouldn't be getting any hot law enforcement chicks with his sleazy reputation.

I dunno....mine likes the hair. I used to buzz it down to the skin, but, since I grew it back out, she loves it...:p

now that you mention sex....it's really been toned down the past few seasons

True, but you can always get your fix watching Californication or True Blood.
