Transferring to DVD player

I got a VCR DVD COMBO player for my birthday.And I know that you can transfer a program from the Tivo to a VCR.Can you transfer a program for the tivo on to a DVD by doing the same thing and selecting Save to VCR?Or is there something else you have to do thanks.

The Tivo outputs a signal to whatever is there to receive it.

The "Save to VCR" does not have to mean to 'VCR'. Tivo wouldn't know what you connected it to, whether its a vcr or DVD or whatever.

Just make sure its an actual DVD recorder though and not just a player! All VCRs are of course recorders but probably 99.9% of DVD players are just that, a player only.
