I've just got back from holiday and, for the first time, found that my TIVO failed to record anything in the second week I was away. It was showing the RHS amber light when I got back, and since the unit didn't respond to any handset commands, I tried unplugging the TIVO for a few seconds, whereupon it successfully re-booted and, since it seemingly hadn't been able to download programme data during the week it went AWOL, needed a forced daily call, after which everything is fine again.
I installed a brand new HD just a few weeks ago, so I doubt it is an HD problem, and usually if there is a power interruption, TIVO boots itself up without any problems.
Does anyone have any idea what might have caused the lockup... and if this is perhaps a warning that the TIVO is about to give up the ghost completely, or was I just unlucky?
