30 second skip [Text View]

I can't seem to program the 30 second skip on my TiVo HD. The sound is connected to my home theater, so when I'm playing back, I wont hear confirmation tone.
Can I do this? I'm using "select-play-select-30-select"

You need to do this while watching a recording. Keep in mind this is a toggle switch so if you do it twice you will turn it back off.
