HD Directv Tivo with OTA

Can you use the directv tivo HD with OTA once you cancel service? I thought I read somewhere you could but not sure how. I've upgraded with 2 hr21s and no longer use the HR10. I thought I could use it on another tv just with the OTA tuner.

You can use it as an OTA tuner with 30-minute buffer. You will not be able to record nor will there be guide data.

I let it sit and it just keeps saying aquiring ... anyway to get past this?

Press the "DirecTV" button at the top. That will take you to the main menu.

Also, I think you might be able to specify antenna only if you re-do guided setup.

When I pick antenna only ... I cannot get any channels except 2-1. Is there something else I'm missing?

You have to run a channel scan. I forget where in the menu this is - I did it such a long time ago.

the only way I could do a scan was to hook it back up to dish. I got it going though. Thanks again
