I just got home ready to watch tonight's Stargate Atlantis on SciFi HD and discovered that my Tivo was not recording it. Turns out I just got a message today that Tivo received a lineup change and DELETED the SciFi HD Channel, thereby cancelling my recording! I can still tune to channel 736 and see what's left of Stargate Atlantis playing. I have now scheduled a manual recording from 9-10pm tonight to catch the repeat. Now SciFi HD has no guide data.
Thanks Tivo! Where is the quality control on these channel deletions? And doing this on a Friday night?
This will probably affect Eureka on SciFi HD too.

Try giving TiVo a call. They will probably be able to fill you in on the change. More then likely the cable company's most recent channel lineup had that channel missing so TiVo could only assume it was no longer offered.
This has happened to me in the past with Comcast in Michigan.

Oh I did. I waited 40 minutes on hold to talk to someone. When I finally got a person on the phone, he said he doesn't know why the channel was deleted, but it shouldn't have and that there should have been procedures in place to prevent a channel that's active from being deleted. It turns out other legitimate channels that I don't watch were deleted in the same lineup update, including Disney HD. Obviously the proper procedures to verify a deleted channel were not followed here in multiple instances. The best the representative could do was report the issue, give me a case number and said I should call back in a few days. As a customer who pays for Tivo as a premium service over a cable DVR, I told him that this was not acceptable and I do not pay for a premium service for things like this to happen, and the representative agreed. I asked to be compensated for my time and for Tivo's mistake and so he tranferred me to another department that handled that. After waiting a few minutes on hold, when the phone finally rang to answer my call, I was greeted by silence at the other end of the line, so all I could do is hang up. Not a good customer experience if you ask me.
