So I guess the show dropped Jeff and Steph? I liked their characters, although they had been pushing them more and more into the background. Eddie's "Little Brother" is funny, but I didn't find his wife amusing at all. Where did she come from?
Honestly I'm not sure why I still watch this show. It's never been particularly funny. I think once the rest of the networks start new shows, this one is a goner.

I was having the same conversation with a friend. I liked Jeff and Steph and their characters. While Eddie's "Little Brother", who was still on the Big Brother list of kids who needed a big brother when he was well into his 30's, was very funny for one episode, he doesn't do it for me as a main character.
Looks like they may have dropped the school scenes, too. I'll watch one more, but with all that's available this fall I think I'm going to remove my Season Pass to this one.
I record a certain amount of mindless TV for when I want to fall asleep without getting involved in the plot to keep myself awake -- but this new show format may tip over the edge into not only don't care now, but never will care about watching the rest of it.

Pretty much what I did last season. Then when re-run season started, it was something mildly amusing I hadn't see yet (and Steph was hot), so I started watching again.
I'll likely do the same thing this year.

According to those denziens of fall TV previews, TV Guide and Entertainment Weekly, there are still three episodes from last season with Jeff and Steph that haven't aired yet, but, according to executive producer Tim Hobert, "We've told a lot of stories about old marriage vs. new marriage" (translation: "The concept wasn't getting good ratings", unless you want to believe the rumor that Brad wanted them out because they were becoming the "main" couple and he did not want to be "second banana" again).

I don't much care for Kenny either. He reminds me of Kramer on Seinfeld, always hanging around, mooching stuff. Except he's not near as funny as Kramer.
The one reason I'm sticking with the show right now is Joely Fisher. Actually, make it "the two reasons I'm sticking with the show right now is Joely Fisher"! This episode worked just fine for me! (Did anybody else see a little flash of nipple when that first cop pulled her over? I checked it in HD and it sure looked like it to me!)

 I think I saw it!
Just to confirm, was it just after the "written by Tim Hobert" credit fade, just before she reaches over to her glovebox? :D

We Tivo this show because we like to have half-hour comedy bits to fill in, but it's really bad. I like Fisher but she must lose sleep having to do some of the scenes they write here. Not one, but two arrests? Yikes.
Garrett is just a big guy, not funny. Why do some shows make it and others don't?

I think I'm done with the show. I knew they were getting rid of the Woodcocks but I don't like the direction the show has gone in.
I have deleted my season pass and didn't even finish the latest episode.
Garrett's comedy mixed with Fisher's comedy mixed with Smoove's comedy just isn't that enjoyable to me.
Oh well, more space for other stuff!

My wife and I just got around to watching this and had the same surprise when we realized Jeff and Steph had been written out of the show.
Well, actually, it looks like they left to pursue other projects:

It's just not the same. Now instead of the old married couple and the newlyweds we have the old married couple and an annoying separated couple.
Oh well, 'twas fun while it lasted.
