If I buy a TIVO from a friend, can I buy lifetime service for it??? At the currently offered price?? Thanks.

Its $399 for new customers, and $299 for current customers who have at least 1 tivo already.

Which means you may be better off having your friend buy lifetime for you (assuming he has a tivo) and then transferring it to you.

At which point you become a current customer and qualify for the $299 for future lifetime subscriptions. Go figure.
