View Full Version : HR10 and Vonage - Any new info?

Haven't seen any recent activity on the "vonage can't call" threads. I was ignoring it, until one of the machines got lucky and managed to complete a call, and got the latest update. (after 120 days of not getting thru). So I have been spurred into trying to get the other machine to actually connect and get the update.

I read the old threads, and tried the NYC numbers, and the various #0xx codes that apparently tell the tivo modem things. No luck...

I am using the Vonage brand voip box. The network speed isn't an issue (fiber). Are any other brands of box better, or is the problem at the far end.

Anyone want to recommend a site that documents how to get an external modem connected.

I had a HR10-250 that connected to Vonage through the NYC numbers for while - then in Jan 2008 it stopped connecting. No changes in the setup, internet connection, nothing (I'm using Comcast).

In the end, I switched to an HR21, but the HR10 had gone for almost 190 days with a call.

Mine continued to work with the previous posted # and special codes until I disconnected it only a couple weeks ago...

Mine made a call to my regular number in NJ with no special settings just last night.

I also tried all the option with no luck. Wish I would have know before switching to vonage.
