Big Brother 9/7: I Would Pad Tonight

After the Patriots squeeked one out during the 1pm game, CBS has US Open Tennis. This afternoon is the men's semifinals. Mens can go 5 sets meaning the match could go longer than the scheduled 7pm finish time.

CBS will not pre-empt 60 Minutes so a PAD is in order for Big Brother at 8pm (EST). There is more tennis at 9pm.

I have padded 1 hour for now. I'll check later, but hopefully that is enough.

60 minutes started right on time on the east coast so no padding required!!

Folks in the Mountain Time Zone will need to set up a manual recording for Big Brother tonight.

Since Tennis is on at 7pm, Big Brother is moving to 9pm.
If Tennis goes long, Big Brother will be on later (of course).

I'm sure TiVo didn't get the updated program info in time to send it out.

Well, what happened is that the mens semi finals match ended very quickly. They had tons of time left until 7pm so they reaired most (if not all) of the Williams sisters semi final match.

Worked perfectly.

On the West Coast Tennis showed until about 8:50. I was trying to watch 60 minutes so I recorded "Big Brother" and got about 5 minutes of 60 Minutes. Then I recorded the next program and got the rest of 60 Minutes.

Stupid Tennis.

That was weird.. In the guide, it said tennis was supposed to be on at 1 PM IIRC.

I had to pad severely.. but only 1 story on 60 mins was new.

I think a storm caused the Tennis schedule to be pushed around. I have no idea where the match was held but I think it was one of the many hurricanes that have been blasting the country.

I will applaud CBS for NOT 'joining in progress' the shows, however. While I realize anybody who just trusted their Tivo would have missed the show, those of us who padded didn't miss it.
